Holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, for ever. – Psalm 93:5

This is a Christian site dedicated to the furtherance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Most of the articles on this site were taken from old public domain leaflets and books. For the most part they were revised and some were condensed. Some articles were written more recently and placed in the public domain. Everything on this site may be freely used. Every article has a spiritual message in connection with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, whether of salvation, or of holiness, which some call entire sanctification. Most of the articles on this site are in English, but some are in French and one is in Spanish. Most of the articles were also made into Gospel leaflets so that they can be downloaded and made into Gospel tracts, if anyone has a desire to do so. The Holy Scriptures on this site are from the King James Version of the Bible, 1611. This site also has some public domain maps associated with different periods of biblical history.

The most important thing in life is the salvation of your soul. Jesus said, “For what shall it profit a man (or woman), if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Mark 8:36-37).

The Bible reveals the fact that there is life after death. Your eternal destiny will begin the instant your earthly life is over. God has created you with an immortal soul. Your body is just a temporary house for your soul. This present life is the time that God has given you to prepare for ETERNITY. Physical death will end all your opportunities to do this. The Bible does not speak of a second chance to prepare for Eternity after death takes place. It must be done now, and the sooner it is done, the better it will be for you. Multitudes of people die every day, and it can be safely said that many will die without being prepared for Eternity.

The Bible has much to say about sin, repentance and salvation. In it we read that God will not approve of a worldly Christianity. “Be not conformed to this world” (Romans 12:2). “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world” (1 John 2:15). Neither will He approve of a sinning Christianity. “He (Jesus) shall save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21). “Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid” (Romans 6:1, 2). God does require a holy Christianity. “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14). “But as he (God) which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation (conduct)” (1 Peter 1:15).

Side-stepping these basic biblical truths will cause us to be unprepared to meet God in Eternity.

God has made His salvation available to all people through Jesus Christ. The Bible says, “God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself” (2 Corinthians 5:19). God’s will is that all people might receive His salvation. The whole world includes every man, woman and child. This includes you!

His salvation includes forgiveness of sins, and new, spiritual life that He gives to those whose sins are forgiven. If you receive God’s salvation, you will be properly prepared for Eternity.

Every man, woman, boy and girl can receive God’s salvation by simply asking Jesus to come into their heart and be their Lord and Savior. It does not matter who you are, or what your life is like, right now, (delete) Jesus will save you right now just as you are, (delete) if you really want Him to. You don’t have to make yourself more presentable to Him in order for Him to save you, but you must be willing to surrender the rest of your life to Him as your Lord and Savior.

The Bible defines sin as the “transgression of the law” (1 John 3:4). This is God’s law. Jesus summed up God’s law: “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind,” and, “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself” (Matthew 22:37, 39).

No one has ever kept God’s law of love the way that God requires except Jesus. This is because of sin. Everyone has been born with a sinful human nature. The nature of sin, which can be defined as moral depravity, makes it easy for people to think evil (sinful) thoughts and do evil things (commit sins). People can sin by their thoughts, by their words, and by their actions. The Bible clearly says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). The Bible describes sinners as “dead in trespasses and sins” (Ephesians 2:1). Sinners are spiritually dead even though they are physically alive. They are spiritually separated from God by their sins, and unless they receive God’s gift of salvation, they will be separated from Him throughout Eternity! Eternity will never end!!!

The Bible says, “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23a). Sin does pay wages in this present life. Sinful choices in life will produce suffering, whether it is emotional, mental or physical suffering. A guilty conscience can produce a lot of mental suffering. But sin’s full wages will be paid out in Eternity. The Bible speaks of the Second Death (commonly called eternal death), and the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:14; 21:8). Click here for more on this. The Second Death will be an unending state of suffering in the Lake of Fire for all those who failed to receive God’s salvation. A time is coming when Jesus will resurrect dead bodies and reunite them with their respective souls, and both bodies and souls of all lost (unprepared) sinners will then be judged by Jesus and cast into the Lake of Fire (John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:11-15). The Bible makes it clear that all people are accountable to God for the way they live their lives. God has made it known in the Bible that there will be a Final Judgment.

Going back to Romans 6:23, the last part of that Scripture is: “but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” The Bible says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son (Jesus), that whosoever believeth in him should not perish (suffer eternal death), but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

The Bible reveals three distinct, Divine Beings, who dwell together in unity in one GOD. These Beings are commonly called the Father, Son (Jesus Christ) and Holy Ghost, or Holy Spirit. Our finite human minds cannot really comprehend the mysterious nature of God, yet the Bible reveals three separate Divine Beings in one God.

It is important to realize that God loves you, no matter who you are or what you have done. God wants to help you. He wants you to receive His salvation. He wants to forgive your sins and give you new, spiritual life through Jesus Christ, and through the power of His Spirit, the Holy Spirit. He wants you to live with Him in Eternity. There will be no sin, suffering or death in God’s future, heavenly state of existence.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away”(Revelation 21:4).

God the Father sent His Son Jesus into the world a long time ago to die on a wooden cross for the sins of all people (John 1:29, 1 John 2:2). Jesus, called the Word in John 1:1 when He was with the Father in Eternity, had to have a human body to do this, so the Holy Spirit conceived Him in the womb of a virgin named Mary, who remained a virgin until Jesus was born (Matthew 1:18-25). The Bible says, “The Word was made flesh” (John 1:14). The Word became Jesus Christ, the Divine Savior of the world.

The Word became Jesus Christ because God required a sinless sacrifice to atone for sin. Jesus, as both God and man, was that sinless sacrifice. He died a sacrificial death for your sins. However, His death will not do you any good unless you repent and believe on Him as the Sacrificial Atonement for your sins, and receive Him into your heart as your Lord and Savior. NOTE: Jesus was raised from the dead as proof that He is indeed the Savior of the world. He is ready to come into your heart right now.

Repentance means to turn away from your own way of living and turn to God through Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sins and new, spiritual life. Repentance includes the forsaking of your sins and the surrendering of your life to God. God wants you to learn of Him and live for Him. He has made Himself known in the pages of the Bible.

You can have new, spiritual life right now, but you must really want it. Just say, “Jesus, please forgive my sins and come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior.”

“The LORD is nigh (near) unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit” (Psalm 34:18).

NOTE: The following is some helpful advice: “Let no one despond because he (or she) does not find himself possessed of inward peace and sacred joy as soon as his heart turns to God and to His salvation. Let such a one continue to ask, to seek, to trust, to hope, and in due time the Divine light will shine into the soul.” – The Pulpit Commentary

You will receive God’s gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. You will be born of the Holy Spirit. This is a spiritual birth (John 1:12-13; 3:1-7). The Holy Spirit will live in you and give you new life. The Holy Spirit can remake you into an entirely new person! You can be set free from sinful desires and addictions!

“Therefore if any man (or woman) be in Christ, he is a new creature (creation): old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

You can have inner peace and joy from the God of peace, instead of the misery that comes from sin. God, by His Holy Spirit, will give you peace and wholly sanctify (purify) you.

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it” (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24).

“And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me” (Jeremiah 33:8).

“Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them” (Ezekiel 36:25-27). NOTE: “Clean water” is symbolic language for the sanctifying influences of the Holy Spirit.

The blood of Jesus will keep cleansing you from all sin if you live in the spirit of obedience (walking in the light) in regard to God’s will, as revealed in the Bible.

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin” (1 John 1:7).

The Bible even goes so far as to say that you can be filled with all the fullness of God.

“And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God” (Ephesians 3:19).

God Himself will live in you by His Spirit! These are amazing promises that God can accomplish in you through the power of His salvation!
