The light shineth in darkness (John 1:5).
The phrase, “the light shineth in darkness,” is biblical language expressing God’s efforts in reaching out to sinners in order to rescue them from the ways of sin through the knowledge of the truth. Yet, for all His efforts, many people refuse to be rescued because they prefer the ways of falsehood and sin. But God continues to reach out – the light of truth continues to shine! Whoever wants to be set free from sin may come to God through JESUS CHRIST for deliverance. Jesus means Savior. Christ means anointed. The Father anointed His Son Jesus to be the Savior of the world. He is the True Light (Source of truth) for all people. He is the Light of the world. All may come to Him now for salvation, no matter who they are or what they have done.
