In the Holy Bible you will find that Heaven is a place where GOD lives. “Our Father which art in heaven . . .” (Mt. 6:9) tells us so. God wants you to be with Him in Heaven and He has made it possible for you to live there. Heaven is a place where peace and happiness are found. Sorrow, pain and death will never enter Heaven (Rev. 21:1-5).

Ezekiel 18:4 says, “the soul that sinneth, it shall die.” When you do what you know is wrong you commit sin. The Bible says, “all unrighteousness (wrongdoing) is sin” (1 John 5:17). Sin also means not doing the right thing when you know you should do it. “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin” (James 4:17). Ephesians 2:1 says that sinners are “dead in trespasses and sins.” Sinners are spiritually dead, even though they are physically alive. Romans 3:23 says, “all have sinned.” Galatians 3:22 says, “the scripture hath concluded all under sin.” The Bible clearly declares that all people have sinned. Reader, you were born with a sinful nature (Ps. 51:5; Rom. 5:12), and unless you are born again and sanctified by God’s Holy Spirit (John 3:7; 1 Thess. 5:23-24) you will be the servant of sin. You will obey the promptings of your carnal (sinful) mind (John 8:34; Rom. 8:6-8) until sin, like a fatal disease, destroys you! There will be no Heaven in the next life for those who fail to receive God’s salvation in this life (Rev. 20:11-15; 21:8).

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (Jn. 3:16). There is only one way to Heaven — through God’s Son, JESUS CHRIST. Jesus is the “Lamb of God,” who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29). Jesus came into the world to die for your sins so that you might be forgiven of them and live with God in Heaven. Jesus atoned for all your sins by His sacrificial death on a wooden cross. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Rom. 5:8). Jesus made it possible for you to live in Heaven in the next life.

If you want to go to Heaven: (1) be willing to forsake all wrongdoing; (2) confess to God that you are a sinner in need of His forgiveness, and ask Him, in the name of Jesus Christ, to forgive your sins; (3) believe that He has forgiven them. The Bible says, “If we confess our sins, he (God) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). You can be forgiven of all your sins through repentance and faith in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ (John 19:1-30). You can be properly prepared to live with God and Jesus in Heaven.
