There is an eternal GOD Who created the world in which you live. When God made the first man and woman He gave them the power and the freedom to obey His will or to disobey it. They disobeyed it and committed sin, and the result was spiritual death, along with guilt, shame, suffering, and finally physical death (Gen. ch. 1-3). All people, yourself included, have inherited the consequences of the sin of our first parents. You were born with a sinful nature and the Bible says that all people have sinned. You will die someday because death is the penalty for sin. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Rom. 3:23). “The wages of sin is death” (Rom. 6:23a). The wages (penalty) for sin is both physical and eternal death. God will eternally punish all those who die in their sins (Rev. 20:11-15). God is really serious about sin — but you don’t have to face His wrath. God wants to forgive your sins because He loves you (but He hates your sins), and that is why He sent His Son JESUS CHRIST into the world to die for your sins. “The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Rom. 6:23b). Jesus took the punishment that you deserve for your sins so that you might have eternal life instead of eternal death.
As best as you can, ask Jesus to show you your sins, and then confess them to Him and forsake them, and He will forgive them. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 Jn. 1:9). You will be born again of His Spirit, the HOLY SPIRIT (Jn. 3:1-7). This is a spiritual birth. You will know that your sins are forgiven when you are born again; and if you wholeheartedly give yourself to God, to be His devoted servant, He will cleanse you from all sin. This is called sanctification. “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it” (1 Thess. 5:23-24).
By God’s grace you will be able to live a life of righteousness and usefulness that will please and glorify Jesus. Be baptized with water as soon as possible in the name of the FATHER, the SON and the HOLY SPIRIT as a testimony to your new life in Jesus.
